We have been fortunate to receive a large number of photos from airmen stationed at TRAB during the approximate timeframe of our class. Given the times, they are mostly all black and white photos, but all are remarkable pictures and we are very grateful to these folks for sharing them with us. Tom and his friend Serge Bernard at Pepiniere Park, Nancy, 1965	Serge Today (Tom and his wife visited France in summer 2002) Sadly, Serge passed away on July 3, 2003. He is greatly missed by his good friend Tom.	An Air Show at TRAB, circa '65	Place Stanislaus, Nancy I took this picture which I have from the second floor of the Hotel d'Ville in Nancy in April '00. Kate waited outside (she is standing near the statue of Stanislaus) while I talked the guard into letting me in to snap the picture. Naturally, I flashed my Fire Captain's badge at the door to gain entrance.  The place was closed to the public at the time.

Tom also sent me this note:

I did purchase the Toul-Rosieres Patch that was offered [for $5!-epp] on eBay last month and it is a new one with the image that I forwarded embroidered upon it.  I promptly had it sewn to an O.D. jacket that I own, and I proudly wear it upon my shoulder.  I enquired from the seller concerning the origin and availablility of the patch.  He responded that he may have another, but he was not sure.

A few photos taken in and around Toul and some of the nearby villages, including Pontamousson and possibly Rosieres. Thanks to Frank Whatley for these photos. Frank was stationed at TRAB from about 1957-59 and has graciously shared some of his old photos from around the base and the area.

Thanks to Bob Pratt for these photos in and around the area,  In Bob's words:

I was stationed at TRAB from July '65 until the closing. I met and married my wife there; and as we both worked in Civil Engineering, we were the last family to leave the base. We lived in the trailer camp on base while the surrounding trailers were packed on rail cars and shipped to Turkey. We left for Germany the same day the remaining single-men moved out of their barracks and into a hotel downtown.

My mother-in-law also worked on base at the police building at the main gate. She now lives two villages north of the base and just attended a party (until 3 am) on base last week [mid December, 2002]. Here is the village web site

Mayor's office in Rosieres. This mayor represented of all of us stationed on the base for any French civil matters (births, marriages, deaths, etc.). This is where I was married-BP

Mont Sec US Memorial near Verdun. This Memorial was built by USA after WW1 in honor of the first battle of US troops at the "Saillant de Saint-Mihiel Battle" (saillant means salient) in 1917. (Thanks to Col. Pierre-Alain Antoine for this additional information)

Bob has taken some very sobering photos of the only German Concentration Camp in France, at Col du Donon (about 50 miles from the Base). Many of us over there had no idea this Camp was even there, let alone so close to the base. Please view these photos here.

and there are certain guidelines we prefer you to follow in the sizing, etc of the photos.
